Paryska 37, technique: mix, material: wood, size: 200 cm x 100 cm
Part of a solo guest exhibition in Lokal_30, Warsaw
“37 Paryska St.” is a revitalization project of one of the houses in Warsaw. Anna Barlik has lived there for 5 years. Having researched the building’s history, she has decided to renew its heart and memory. During the exhibition, she has re-enacted the building’s focal point: a 1938 oak mailbox, which received and stored correspondence for generations of the house’s dwellers. Each slot of the old-fashioned mailbox recalls the house and its life. On top of history and contexts of the house, the refurbishment project for house’s façade is presented. It comprises of notes taken during research on the building.
